2022 MMCRU Grades 5-12 Choir Pops Concert

It was a “musical” week for those of us that attended the two “Pops Concerts”. The Band Pops Concert was on Tuesday evening (March 8) and the Choir Pops Concert was on Thursday evening (March 10) with the 5th Grade-High School Choirs performing under the direction of Ms. Breeana De Vos.
The 5th Grade Choir informed the audience of “The Best Day of My Life”. In the background we heard a drum beat with Ms. Davis on the drum. Then 5th Grade boys_Garrett and Gavin Alesch, Jagger Becker, Colt Krier, and Bentley Reed took to the front of the 5th Grade choir and with sunglasses on, let the audience know “Fancy Like”! The 5th Grade girls, Laiken Bork, Lilly Olson, and Gabby Johnson informed the boys to “Shake it Off!” as they appeared also wearing sunglasses and “shaking” as they sang.
5th Grade Choir Members include: Garrett Alesch, Gavin Alesch, Kaysen Ankenman, Laiken Bork, Ava Frederick, Katie Haaven, Trenton Hageman, TJ Hermanson, Gabby Johnson, Casaeda Jones, Colt Krier, Chloe Martinez, Ashley Mouser, Charlie Murray, Lilly Olson, Macy Perez, Bentley Reed, Aubrey Specht, Faith Spenner, Thelsalynn Stephen, Gianna Stevens and Kaydence Stites.
The 6th Grade Choir took to the risers with the 6th Grade girls singing, “Country Roads”. They involved flash lights in this musical selection. Then the 6th Grade boys turned to face the back of the risers and then when turning around to face the audience, they let us know “Sunday Best” could include wearing “shades!”
The 6th Grade Choir Members include: Isaac Astidias, Jeff Braun, Peyton Busch, Taya Delperdang, Rachel Doellinger, Kyndell Freeman, Kinzie Glassmaker, Taya Grage, Willow Hageman, Samantha Hill, Angelique Hurtado, Carter Jungers, Cooper Loutsch, Madison Lowden, Thomas McKinney, Carson Meyer, Brayden Miller, Rylee Nissen-Teepe, Andrew Peterson, Tenleigh Porter, Logan Regennitter, Marissa Rojas, Benjamin Ross, Cody Schmillen, Hailey Staab, Raya Staab, Brady Tentinger, Gracie Todd, Tori Treinen, and Caleb Wurth.
The 7th /8th Grade Choir began their presentation with “Bruno Mars-Hitmaker! Medley with Brea Nicks doing a Solo. Have you thought about, “If Today was Your Last Day?” Dylan Stevens was the Soloist. Well, evidently there were some that didn’t take the previous selection to heart! Aleah and Brielle Lux, Gracie Schroeder, Aly Olson, and Tia Tentinger let the audience know, “Girls just Wanna Have Fun!” as they clapped, danced, rolled their arms, made an archway for one to pass through!
7th /8th Grade Choir included: Paula Bautista, Kamden Bork, Emma Erickson, Lana Florine, Lauren Galles, Alexis Gotto, Riley Groves, Destiny Gunsolly, Mason Hill, Aaron Letsche, Isabella Loutsch, Christian Lowden, Aleah Lux, Brielle lux, Katie Merryfield, Brea Nicks, Alyvia Olson, Ava Prescott, Allissa Rupp, Brianna Schuetz, Joenson Stephen, Tiara Tentinger, Dylan Stevens, Tessa Weiler, and Sadie Youde.
The MMCRU High School Choir let the audience know we are “United” and “Never Give Up on Us” with Isabella Ahlers as Soloist. There are still “Heroes and Dreamers” among us. Hope Russell was Soloist for “Photograph.
“Shine Like Stars” included Caitlin Olson, Hannah Neddermeyer, Ashley Hurtado, Isabella Ahlers, Brielle Meyers, Hope Russell, Autumn Sanow, Mykin Youde, and Andrea Penning.
The High School Choir Students include; Isabella Ahlers, Jordyn Holsinger, Ashley Hurtado, Ethan Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Regan Konz, Brielle Myears, Hannah Neddermeyer, Rylee Neddermeyer, Caitlin Olson, Ryan Olson, Andrea Penning, McCartney Pierce, Emily Rains, Anthony (AJ) Russell), Hope Russell, Autumn Sanow, Perla Solano, Zoey Turner, Caitlin Wetter, Jaxon Woodall, and Mykin Youde*
Then the entire group that numbered over 100 took to the risers and floor with “Walk Through Life”.
Did you see names that were both in band and choir? It was great to see this many students in choir! You showed your talent on Thursday night_keep up the good work!
