For over 15 years, Marcus and surrounding communities have been supporting the local blood bank, LifeServe Blood Center, at the community blood drives coordinated by Marcus Knights of Columbus. The blood drive was held Tuesday, November 30th to help the blood center keep units on hand as we transition into a busy holiday season. Several donors showed their support for saving local lives by donating blood. LifeServe Blood Center was able to collect 40 units of blood saving up to 120 local lives. We also celebrate the following donors on their milestone donations – LORI MONIER – 1 Gallon and KENT ERICKSON – 7 Gallon!
Another successful year of blood donation has come to a close in Marcus! Over the year we’ve collected 194 units of blood at the community blood drives saving up to 582 local lives!
The next drive will Tuesday, March 1st from 12pm-5pm at Grace United Methodist Church.
