The best kept secret of the Marcus Fair is the Community Church Service. This year, celebrating the 150th birthday of our fair city, it became obvious that our speaker would need to be someone that represented our town’s motto, “Pride in the past and faith in the future”. The Leavitt family has lived in Marcus for four generations. If you count the grandkids, that’s 5 generations! Our speaker, Bob Leavitt, graduated from USD in 1975 and retuned to his home town to raised his family and contribute to the diverse Leavitt lumber business.
