On Thursday May 6, the MMCRU girls track team competed at West Sioux. The teams participating in this event were Lawton-Bronson, Hinton, Alcester-Hudson, St. Mary’s, Akron-Westfield, Gehlen Catholic, Westwood, MMCRU, and West Sioux. The team rankings are as follows: Lawton-Bronson in first with 115, Gehlen Catholic in second with 92, Hinton in third with 81, Westwood getting fourth with 69, In fifth is Alcester-Hudson with 59, MMCRU in sixth place with 50, St. Mary’s in seventh with 49, in eighth place is West Sioux with 41, and In ninth place is Akron-Westfield with 31 points.
Torey Tentinger said, “The track meet was very fun and competitive. I did well on my running event and this guy inspired me to ask my mom to get me some watermelon for the meet. It was really good and refreshing. The only problem that I had with this meet is the long jump. The line was hard to see.”
