Blacey Stodden
By Blaine Wicks
Standing in the spotlight this week is senior Blacey Stodden. Blacey participated in bowling and cheer throughout high school. Her favorite memories from high school came from homecoming. She always enjoyed playing powder puff football even though she is pretty sure they never won. She also enjoyed decorating the hallways and making the floats for the parade.
Blacey enjoys activities outside of school also. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family or working. Her advice for underclassmen is to be involved in activities. She regrets not being as involved in as many as her classmates were.
Blacey’s jobs throughout high school were working at Happy Siesta Healthcare Center in Remsen and Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon. Her favorite school lunch was pizza. Blacey’s pet peeve was when people don’t put a new roll of toilet paper on after using the last of it.
Blacey’s mother and father are Elissa and Adam Stodden. Her brothers are Brandon, Brenin and Ben. Her favorite movie is “The Greatest Showman,” her favorite song is “Paradise” by Coldplay, and her favorite color is yellow. Blacey’s biggest fears are driving at night and snakes. Her favorite year for school was her senior year because it flew by fast and she was able to graduate early, which helped make it the best year for her.
Her next big step is in the fall going to attend NCC or WITCC for nursing. What Blacey wants to accomplish is going to nursing school and hopefully be as good a nurse as her mother.
