Easter Egg Hunters Invade Heartland Care Center
By Elaine Rassel
The word was out on Sunday at 1 o’clock, the Heartland Care Center was going to hide eggs. Residents had been filling 100 plastic eggs with jelly beans, candy, etc. Last year there was no Easter egg hunt, so the kids were ready this year.
Before the designated time, the parking lot filled up with cars (some even had to park in the school lot). The kids were standing patiently waiting with bags and whatever would hold the eggs. The Easter Bunny (Cody Nelson) announced the places where the kids could look for eggs. Then it was Ready, Set, and Go!
If the child was younger than some, an adult came to help them. It didn’t take long to find some eggs. Some of the kids didn’t get very many but were satisfied with what they had, so decided it was time to sit down and open the eggs and get what was inside!
I noticed that there were some residents that were sitting outside enjoying the hunt from where they sat.
Thank you, Heartland Care Center for giving the kids a traditional Easter Egg Hunt!
