The Royals took on the Tigers at Sunrise Park in Remsen on Monday June 23. The score was knotted at 1 after the first. The Royals untied it in the 4th with a run. The 2-1 lead was short lived. Their guests put 2 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the 5th putting at a 3-2 advantage. The Royals went to the bottom of the seventh in a do or lose moment. The Royals put 2 runs on the scoreboard to claim a win in the heartbreaker game 4-3.
Senior pitcher Isabelle Richardson threw 6 innings, retiring 3. Sophomore Chloe Alesch closed out the game on the mound for the Royals. RichardsonÕs batting went 1 for 4 with a pair of RBIs and a double. Senior Deanna Partridge hit 2 and scored a run.
