BQA Certification Training offered early July
Three Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) trainings will be offered to beef producers and agri-business professionals needing to obtain or renew their BQA certification.
All of the early July trainings will be 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a light lunch at the following locations:
July 6 – Crossroads Pavilion Event Center – 301 34th Ave., Sheldon
July 7 – Parkview Event Center – 1303 10th St., Rock Valley
July 9 – Marcus Community Center – 319 N. Main St., Marcus
The BQA Trainings have three main objectives: 1) to assure the consumer that beef is raised with attention to detail, 2) to provide education on best production methods, and 3) to increase international demand for U.S. beef.
These three BQA trainings are co-sponsored by the Iowa Beef Center, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, the Iowa Beef Industry Council and Cooperative Farmers Elevator. Lunch is courtesy of Diamond V, Elanco, and Zoetis.
Participants are encouraged to register two days prior to the session they plan to attend. Walk-ins are not allowed.
Registration may be made by contacting Beth Doran, beef specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, at 712-737-4230 or e-mail doranb@iastate.edu or by contacting Bradi Bohlke, intern with Cooperative Farmers Elevator, at 712-540-6856 or e-mail bbohlke@coopfe.com.
