Nancy Nelson, Green Pastures Country Boutique, requested one block of L51 in downtown Quimby to be temporarily closed for a vendor and barbeque event on April 26, 2025. The supervisors expressed their support of events promoting all cities in Cherokee County and thanked Nelson for her work on promoting her business and the county.
Motion by Skou, seconded by Bellefy to approve a temporary closure of L51 through Quimby on April 26, 2025 for the purpose of a vendor fair and barbeque with an agreement that the City of Quimby will be responsible for all liabilities that may be incurred during this event and that Quimby City crews will be responsible for placing and removing detour signs and barricades before, during and after the event. Motion carried.
