In the MMCRU High School Band’s concert that happened on Monday, December 2, they performed a suite of songs from the acclaimed musical, Wicked, among a couple of other songs. To celebrate, the students in the band attended a showing of the recently released motion picture adaptation of the musical, at the America Three Theater in Cherokee, IA. School transportation was provided for attendants not willing or able to drive to Cherokee. The cost of admission and transportation was covered by the MMCRU Boosters Club. The film began at 8:50 pm, with it lasting for two hours and 41 minutes. The showing of Wicked offered an exciting night of entertainment for all who attended.
