Heartland Care Center celebrated 30 years of serving the Marcus and surrounding areas with long-term nursing home care and assisted living! They celebrated with a nice gathering in the main dining room filled with pictures books of the years, residents and staff members, and refreshments! It was a nice crowd that came to celebrate!

HISTORY: From 1990-1995, the community of Marcus gathered together with over 600 supporters that donated for the construction and operation of Heartland Care Center with the facility doors opening in August of 1994. The facility was made up of one hallway assisted living and one hallway for nursing home care with the main dining room in the middle. Since then, Heartland has had two major construction add-ons to the building creating an extra dining room and another hallway. Today, Heartland Care Center is affiliated with Cherokee Regional Medical Center and employs over 65 employees. They offer a large range of nursing care including long-term care, hospice care, palliative care, skilled (rehabilitation) nursing care, and assisted living.”
