Carver Miller

Carver Miller is a senior here at MMCRU High School. Miller has been involved in football, bowling, and track for three years. He has lettered all three years in those specific sports. Also received All Academic 1st Team in football and bowling. Miller’s favorite high school memories include football games on Friday nights, and seeing how close our school has become. Outside of school, he enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, and of course playing video games.
When asked to give advice for the underclassmen, Miller shared, “Cherish every memory– it all goes by so fast.” Miller’s plan is to play football and attend Black Hills State in Spearfish, SD. He plans to study Special Education.
Michael Peterse

Michael Petersen was born in Remsen, Iowa on March 28, 2006. He is currently a senior at MMCRU High School. Petersen has 3 siblings; Josh, Samantha, and Kara. During his high school career, Petersen has been involved in football, baseball, basketball, and track. He was also inducted into NHS his sophomore year. Petersen stated, “I am most excited for basketball season this year because it is my favorite sport.”
Petersen’s plan after high school is attending college, working towards his business degree. He was inspired by Mr. Marra, being his high school sports coach, and business teacher. Petersen’s favorite high school memory is starting varsity basketball as a freshman.
Garrit Bush

Garrit Bush is a senior here at MMCRU High School. Bush’s favorite teacher is Mr. Wimmer, but his favorite class is Construction because they get to work and have a lot of good conversations with his classmates and his teacher. Bush plans to attend either DMACC or Iowa to study Criminal Justice. His goal is to work as an FBI Agent in the future. However, when asked what his dream job would be, Bush stated, “Professional Golfer, to make big money and be successful.”
Brooklyn Miller

Brooklyn Miller, an 18 year old senior at MMCRU High School, grew up in Marcus. She has two younger siblings, Kylie and Owen, who also go to MMCRU. Miller’s favorite high school memory is her sophomore year homecoming. Following high school, Miller plans to attend either Kirkwood or USD. Currently, Miller is taking an internship class and works for Exit Realty in Cherokee. She wishes to pursue this field in college by majoring in Business. She wants to end up in Arizona while practicing real estate.
Kezden Steffen

Kezden Steffen is a senior student at MMCRU High School. He has been attending schools in MMCRU district for every year, except his first two which were spent at Remsen St. Mary’s.
Since elementary school, Steffen has possessed a great talent in the field of athletics. His reaction times, running speed, and agility are unmatched by any of his peers. His athletic abilities are displayed in the MMCRU High School football program for people in the area to witness.
Steffen’s favorite personal pastimes include fishing and other outdoor activities. Steffen is currently employed at Jordan’s Meat Market in Marcus. His plan after high school is to join the US Marines and work to defend our country.
