Personal Mention
by Elaine Rassel
I received a box from Ila that contained a word search book with many white board markers for my white board that I use for when my guests and whoever stops by to write on.
I still haven’t got my phone. It’s getting pretty lonesome sitting here until 8 or 9 p.m. for Zachary and Bethany to come for about an hour to an hour and a half, sometimes 2 hours.
I’m very thankful for the cards and messages sent to me. It means a lot.
It doesn’t seem possible that Easter is almost upon us. Soon Heartland Care residents will be finding Easter eggs for the Great Easter Egg Hunt outside.
Remember in your thoughts and prayers those who have lost loved ones to death and have had their lives changed, have health problems some of which are terminal, are trying to make ends meet even though they have a job, and be with those who are still trying to shorten the distance between family/friends by building a bridge instead of a wall. Count your blessings. I will leave you with this quote from Bell Hooks, “Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape.”
