The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Community School District Board of of Directors met in special session on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 4:00pm in the MMC Board Room, Marus, IA. Board members present: Laura Staab, Luke Olson, Belinda Leavitt, Dan Erickson, and Kristi Letsche.
I. CALL TO ORDER
Laura Staab called the meeting to order at 4:00pm.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Kristi Letsche moved to approve the agenda. Belinda Leavitt seconded.
Carried 4-0
Luke Olson entered at 4:02pm.
III. BUSINESS
A. BOARD RESPONSE TO MMCEA INITIAL BARGAINING PROPOSAL
The board presented an increase of $1,200.00 for returning licensed staff members, (2.68% on wages). Also proposed $750.00 increase to the base wage for a total without TSS of $33,000.00.
B. MMC CLASSIFIFIED ASSN. INITIAL BARGAINING PROPOSAL
Kristi Ames presented the MMC Classified Staff initial proposal requesting $2.00/hour raise across the board for all classified staff.
The Board responded with an increase of $0.40 per hour (2.71% on wages) for Custodial, Secretarial, Cooks, and Para-Professionals. Also $44.00 per month increase for bus drivers, a 2.72% on wages.
C. FEBRUARY BOARD BILLS
Luke Olson moved to approve the February board bills. Dan Erickson seconded.

Dan Erickson moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:27pm. Kristi Letsche seconded.
