The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn School District Board of Directors met in special session on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 6:15pm in the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Board Room, Marcus, IA. Board members present: Laura Staab, Danae Dreckman, Luke Olson. Absent: Belinda Leavitt and Karla Prunty.
I.CALL TO ORDER
Laura Staab called the meeting to order at 6:15pm
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Luke Olson moved to approve the agenda, with the addition of letter B to be added to the Business items. Danae Dreckman seconded the motion.

III. BUSINESS
A. PROPOSED 2023-24 SCHOOL CALENDAR CHANGE:
Danae Dreckman moved to approve the changes to the school calendar to accommodate moving days for the Elementary classrooms. Luke Olson seconded.
Carried 3-0
B.TEMPORARY SCHOOL ACCOUNTS ACCESS TO MR. BARKEL
Luke Olson moved to approve Superintendent Dan Barkel’s temporary access to school accounts until we have successfully hired a new Business Manager. Danae Dreckman seconded the motion.

IV. ADJOURN
Danae Dreckman moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:29pm. Luke Olson seconded.
