MMCRU Boys’ Golf Loses Close One to A-W

The MMCRU boys’ linksters were so close against Akron-Westfield, but they were off by just six strokes. Scoring first place was from Akron-Westfield was Carter Wilken with 40 . Second from A-W was Carson James who was tied with Royal Brennan Rolfes at 44. Fourth was Caden Sand from MMCRU with 46. In fifth was A-W’s Raiden Ericson with 47, while MMCRU’s Cade Pepper had 48. In seventh was Landyn Vossberg of A-W with 52, while MMCRU’s Noah Galles was in eighth with a 53. Ninth was Westerner Jackson Mamach with a 54, while tenth was Hayven Hollingshead with a 58, eleventh was Cody Evans with a 62. The final score for the meet was Akron-Westfield with 183 and MMCRU with 189.
Head coach Mark Schuttler said, “The team is starting to play better as individuals. We just can’t put four good scores together on the same day. We are getting close and looking forward to a great week.”
Brennan Rolfes added, “The weather was nice; even though we didn’t win, we had fun and played a good game.”
