The MMCRU girls’ golf team took off to Akron to play against the Westerners and they tried playing a good meet against them. The girls played well, but they sadly lost with the score of 237-199.
The lowest score for the MMCRU girls’ golf team was Avery Schlenger with the score of 54. Coming in second was Molly Reuter with the score of 56. The third score for MMCRU was Sophia Hohbach with the score of 62. The rest of the team played well and had a positive attitude with the good weather with a little bit of chill.
Coach Kendra Knapp commented on the meet with, “Our meet Friday against Akron was a tough one, but we played fairly well for only one of the girls having played that course before. We lost to Akron, but it didn’t feel like a loss because we’ve come a long way since the beginning of April and we continue to get better every meet! Each girl has improved her game in many ways and I am excited to see how much more we can accomplish this year!”
