Marcus Fire Department Purchases TNT Rescue Tools

The Marcus Fire Department would like to thank the Cherokee County Legacy Foundation, as well as an anonymous donor, for their recent help in purchasing an updated set of TNT rescue tools. These life-saving tools are vital is helping first responders with the efficient extrication of victims trapped in motor vehicles or other equipment. The new tools are self-contained and battery operated, with no need for an additional power unit. This provides increased portability, efficiency, and speed to access patients when time matters.
Total cost of this project was $21,000. The Legacy Foundation funded $10,000 with the anonymous donor covering the balance.
The Marcus Fire Department is grateful for these generous contributions. We have already put these tools into service and have practiced their operation.
“Yours In Service”, Marcus Fire Department
