Monthly Blood Donation Fact: Did you know? August holds National Nonprofit Day! The best way to support LifeServe Blood Center as a nonprofit is by scheduling your next appointment to donate blood!
For over 15 years, Marcus and surrounding communities have supported the local blood bank, LifeServe Blood Center, with at least six blood donation opportunities per year. Over the course of July, two blood drives were hosted to support 130+ local hospitals that LifeServe Blood Center serves. We successfully collected 65 units of blood that has the ability to save up to 195 local lives!
Special thanks to Isabelle Olson for hosting a scholarship blood drive in the month of July. She held a blood drive in a proactive effort to not only help the local blood supply, but also to start saving for education post high school. She saved up to 114 local lives and earned a $500 scholarship while preparing for her future at Northwestern College. Congratulations, Isabelle, and good luck in your future endeavors! We look forward to seeing where these next years take you!
