For years the Marcus Chapter FM of PEO has been known throughout the community as an organization which supports education. We are a small but mighty group who have funded scholarships for MMCRU girls to help them achieve their educational goals. Covid has affected every aspect of the past year including our meetings and our projects. Known for our “Purse with a Purpose Brunch”, we were faced with cancelling the event last year and we are sad to say that we are cancelling it for this year also. HOWEVER, we are announcing that in spite of not having the brunch, that we are still going to raffle a quilt. We will be able to support two $500.00 scholarships with your help. Betty Rutter and Janette Woodall donated their time, talents, and expenses to make this beautiful quilt. We are very thankful to them for that. PEO members will be putting up posters all of the details you will need to purchase your tickets. We thank you for your donations. The winning name will be drawn at our June 1 meeting.
