Royals Get By Hinton By One Stroke

On April 12, the MMCRU girls’ golf team took the road to Hinton and went against the Hinton Blackhawks. The Royals took the win by one stroke with the score of 250-251.
The lowest score went to Kristina Goth with the score of 61. For second place there was a tie between Molly Reuter from MMCRU and Halley Rosenbaum from Hinton with a score of 62. Coming in third was Isabelle Olson with the score of 63. The final scores for the match ended with Avery Schlenger and Sophie Hohbach tied with a score of 64, and Kaleigh Gravenish with a score of 87.
Player Kristina Goth commented on the meet with, “It was a lot of fun to travel to Hinton to play. Their course was definitely more challenging with the added difficulty of the wind. However, we were able to continue to grow and learn as a team.”
Coach Kendra Knapp commented on the meet with, “We ended up beating Hinton by one stoke, which was one of the closest meets ever. Considering the crazy conditions, our girls found a way to play well.”
