Senior Spotlight – Kamden Steffen

This week’s senior spotlight features Kamden Steffen. Kamden is the son of Jared and Kristin Steffen, and is the sibling to Jadyn and Kezden, a freshman. Throughout high school, Kamden has been in several activities such as basketball, football, track and field, Skills USA, and speech. He has lettered in all sports he’s participated in.
Kamden’s favorite school lunch is chicken tacos and his favorite memoriesfrom high school are the annual trips to Mr. P’s with the basketball team. When asked what advice he has for upcoming freshmen, Kam says “Say yes to everything because you don’t know what you will like.” His favorite year of high school was his freshman year because of the good basketball season they had and because he got out of school early due to Covid-19.
Outside of school, he enjoys playing video games and watching all kinds of professional sports. Kamden has worked as a lifeguard for the Remsen pool and as a dishwasher at the Pheasant. His greatest accomplishment in his high school career was holding a few school records for track and field. He would like you to know that his biggest pet peeve is people smacking their lips while eating.
Next year, he plans to study business but at this time he is undecided as to where he will go. Kamden would like to become a real estate agent, move somewhere warm, and become a rich and successful businessman. Kamden would like to be remembered as a good athlete but an even better person. Best of luck to you Kamden!
