Descendants of Andrew Magnus and Christine Jacobson Swanson met Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Meriden Community Center in Meriden for their annual reunion. Prior to a catered meal and ice cream, some family members gathered at Amherst Cemetery in Marcus for a walk about reviewing family history. Nine family members enjoyed updates to the family tree, reminiscing, and looking over family history and pictures. Many newly discovered family history treasures were shared as well. Letters and e-mails were shared from family members unable to attend. Those in attendance were Verdell Johnson, Cleghorn; Norman and Mary Swanson, Sutherland; Carol Lytle, Storm Lake; Tom and Jan McIntosh, Loveland, CO; Craig and Gay Lynn Strub, Marcus; and Elizabeth Johnson, Cleghorn. Everett Johnson, Las Cruses, NM, joined the reunion via ZOOM. The next Swanson Reunion will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023.
