This week’s staff spotlight is Kayla Schroeder. She is a high school counselor at MMCRU. She has been counseling at our Marcus district for eight years now. Kayla grew up in Remsen, and went to college at USD for a bachelors in psychology and masters in school counseling. Mrs. Schroeder knew she always wanted to work with kids and wanted to hopefully make a difference in their lives. She also loves working with students! When asked what advice she would give to her students, she said “You matter! Never give up on yourself”. When she was in high school she wished someone would have told her “It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just try your best.”
