Ryan Olson

This week for our senior spotlight we are featuring Ryan Olson. Ryan lives outside of Remsen and his family members are his dad, Jerrod, his mom, Marybeth, his brothers Andrew, Chris, and Alex, and his sister Caitlin. After high school Ryan plans to go to Northwestern College to get a degree in Music Education.
Throughout high school, Ryan has been involved in baseball, football, show choir, plays, and musicals. Some of Ryan’s favorite memories in high school have been winning a show choir competition, and the Madrigal. Outside of school, Ryan is in a bowling league and likes to participate in any musical activity. The advice Ryan would give the underclassmen is to be who you want to be, not who others want you to be. Some jobs Ryan has had are working at Subway and he has had some singing gigs. His favorite school lunch is crispitos and popcorn chicken tacos. Ryan’s biggest accomplishment is getting into the NHS. Ryan’s biggest pet peeve is when someone begins a conversation with you and then ends it almost immediately. Ryan’s favorite genre of music is Christain Music and his favorite movie is Hacksaw Ridge. One of Ryan’s biggest fears is falling in love with someone and watching them slowly fall out of love. Ryan’s favorite year in high school has been his freshman year, he felt more himself. He had friends for years prior to freshman year. One thing Ryan wants to accomplish in life is being satisfied with his personal and job life. Ryan wants to be remembered as a polite and respectful person. Nothing more and nothing less than that.
