This week’s Staff Spotlight is Mrs. Sam Schroeder. She teaches Agriculture Education
at Marcus high school. She has been teaching for six years at MMCRU. She grew up in Hudson, Iowa and continued her education at Iowa State University for a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture and minor in Entrepreneurship. She continued at ISU to receive her master’s degree in Education. She wanted to be a teacher because she was a lab assistant for one of her favorite classes in undergraduate school, which was Herbaceous Plant Identification. Her advisor for Horticulture thought she had a natural ability to teach and encouraged her to pursue an education. When asked what she likes most about teaching, “I enjoy getting to know students as individuals and love watching kids grow to be adults. It’s so fun to literally see you grow and BLOOM into individu
