Senior Spotlight

By Brayden Dirks
This week for the senior spotlight we will be featuring Autum Bonnstetter. Autum lives in Remsen with her dad, Tim, and her mom, Deb. She has one brother, Zack, and one sister, Amanda. After high school, Autum plans on going to a two-year college to study to be an X-ray technician.
Autum has been very involved throughout high school and has participated in many activities. She has been in basketball, football cheer, and SkillsUSA. Currently, she is in basketball cheer, volleyball, basketball managing, speech, and National Honors Society. Autum has also been in the Top 5 of her class academically all throughout high school, and she has been on the High Honor Roll every year. She mentioned that being on the High Honor Roll every year was her biggest accomplishment in high school. Autum’s favorite year in high school was junior year because her class dominated homecoming and prom was very fun. She says that jam sessions in the locker room before games and prom are her favorite memories from high school.
In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends, shop, and watch TV shows. She works as a dietary aid at Bavarian Meadows Nursing Home in Remsen and as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Park Place Assisted Living in Lemars. She says her biggest pet peeve is when people say “what” even though they heard what you said. Her biggest fear is the dark, and her favorite song is “Sand in My Boots” by Morgan Wallen.
Autum’s biggest piece of advice to underclassmen is to not dwell in the past and live in the present. She wants to be remembered for her fun personality, and she hopes to have financial stability and a great family around her.
