Charles “Churck” A. Bierman, age 57 of Waukee, IA, passed away on June 28, 2021, at Mercy One West Hospital in Des Moines after a brief illness. A memorial service and time of sharing will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cleghorn Community Center in Cleghorn, IA. Rev. David Cooper will officiate. Burial will take place at Marcus Amherst Cemetery at a later date. The Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee is assisting the family with arrangements. Charles August Bierman, the son of Francis and Florence (Berglund) Bierman, was born September 23, 1963, in Le Mars, IA. He was one of five children. Chuck was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee, IA, and graduated from Marcus High School. Chuck was also a graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, IA.
Chuck worked as a finance manager at car dealerships around the Des Moines area. He loved cars and weight lifting. He has a beautiful daughter Ellie Joy who lives in Alexandria, MN.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Florence Bierman; sister, Judy Johnston Bierman; and brother, Michael Bierman.
Survivors include, Joy Bierman Seggerman of St. Charles, MO, David (Donella) Bierman of Marcus, IA, Roberta (Bierman) LaForge of Chaska, MN; nephews, Phillip (Christina) Nelson, Joe (Britt) Bierman, Michael and David Reinert, Matt (Jenny) Seggerman, Francis and Amber Bierman, Luke (Jasmine) Bierman, Matthew Charles Bierman, and Clint (Anya) Bierman; along with other relatives and friends.
