Gnimocemoh • Block the Door

By MMCRU Communications Our school is coming together to create school spirit during Gnimocemoh Week. Throughout the week students are asked to bring in nonperishable items and everyday essentials to donate to our local food pantries. We call this “Block the Door” because the goal is to collect enough items to physically block the teacher’s door to the classroom, and if the students block the door they don’t have to have class for the day and are able to participate in activities at school. “Block the Door” not only brings excitement to Gnimocemoh, but it also highlights the importance of helping others in our community and teaches students that even small contributions can make a big difference for others.

Gnimocemoh – Dress Up Days

At MMCRU this week, we are celebrating Gnimocemoh. This is homecoming, but in the spring. To celebrate, we have dress-up days, Monday is Royal Spirit, dress up in all of your Royal gear. Tuesday is Swap Day, students dress like teachers, and teachers dress like students. Wednesday is PJ Day, keeping it cozy in your favorite pajamas. Jersey Day is Thursday, support your favorite team by wearing a jersey. Friday is John Hancock Day, students wear a white shirt and bring a sharpie to sign each other’s shirts. This is a fun way for students to keep positive during long winter months!
