Bird Houses
By MMCRU Communications
This past week at MMCRU High School, the class Math in the Trades, taught by Mrs. Letsche built bird houses. The students were required to read blueprints with an architect ruler. They had to write down the measurements and order the wood. Then the students had to cut and fit all of the pieces with a 1/16th tolerance. They used wood glue and nails to ensure that the frame would not break easily. This was a fun and educational way to challenge and be creative with students.
