Bruce Schmadeke has retired from the Farmers State Bank board of directors after more than 10 years of service. Farmers State Bank thanks Bruce for his commitment. Kyle Wester was elected to the Board at the annual meeting of Farmers State Bank held on February 8th, 2024. Kyle will be joining Robert Leavitt, Jeff Mittelstadt, Rod Klingenberg, Steve Kunzweiler, Mike Knutson, and Eric Wester as Directors. Kyle has been an employee of Farmers State Bank since 2016 where he is currently a Vice President. Kyle grew up in Cleghorn and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Ag Engineering. In 2023, Kyle completed the 3 year Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Away from work, Kyle is a volunteer member of the Marcus Fire Department. He also serves on the non-profit boards of MEDCO and the Little Royals Daycare. Kyle and his wife Olivia have two children, Jackson and Quinn. Kyle enjoys helping out with youth sports and farming with his dad on the family farm.
