The City Council of the City of Marcus, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Marcus City Hall to consider the proposed Marcus Urban Revitalization Plan, prepared pursuant to Chapter 404 of the Code of Iowa.
The proposed Plan identifies the boundaries of the Marcus Urban Revitalization District, outlines revitalization goals, and establishes criteria for property tax abatement and other incentives intended to encourage reinvestment and redevelopment within the community.
All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and present comments, either orally or in writing. Written comments may be submitted to City Hall prior to the hearing.
Following the public hearing, the City Council may take action to adopt the Marcus Urban Revitalization Plan.
