Save Lives During National Blood Donor Month
Kick off the new year by observing National Blood Donor Month and saving lives! Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. requires a blood transfusion. Those life-saving procedures would not be possible without our blood donors. Currently, only around 3% of eligible Americans donate blood each year. If just 1% more Americans donated blood, shortages would disappear. This National Blood Donor Month, we want to thank all of our generous donors. We also encourage anyone eligible to roll up their sleeves and help ensure our local hospitals start 2026 with fully stocked shelves and make a blood donation.
