Personal Mention

Jeffery, Lori, Shania, Caleb and Bentlee came to visit. Zachary and Bethany came a little while later. Thank you to everyone that has stopped into the store asking about me. The prayers are helping, so please keep them coming. I am slowing improving everyday and will be able to possibly get moved to Heartland next week. Also Rodney and Sarah and Cameron and Gina came to visit. I received cards in the mail. Thank you to those that have sent well wishes to me and to my family and friends. Also thanks to Bethany for doing the best that she can for typing up my articles and trying to find them in such short notice. She’s doing a great job.
Sandy Wallin sent this so I thought I could add this into my personals. “We have storage units here in our condo association. There are 256 units here and 8 buildings. So we have 8 storage units. Well when the economy changed, people started living in our storage units. Past 5 years. And we have had such a turnover of HOA associations taking over our condo. So Michael my partner and I tried to go into the storage to maybe get out some decorations for Christmas but there was a guy living there and he had created one storage unit for him to live in plus he had weapons, gun, etc. So we did not stay and left. We reported that and of course all of the storage units were like that. Every year the HOA then changed locks etc., but still they were broken into and we could not access. Finally this past year in November, we got into the storage. Then the HOA said that everyone needed to just take everything out of the storage units so they could fix them, the doors, painting, renumbering, etc. We had a deadline of December 12th. Luckily my son-in-law was able to come over on a Sunday and we just moved all 38 boxes and 6 or 8 bags into the middle bedroom of my condo. A volunteer also came to help and then gave away quite a bit of it to Goodwill and the volunteer took it to Goodwill for me. So grateful. Then I started sorting. I ended up having the volunteer take 9 bags to a company for shredding, it cost $68 for 91 pounds. It was a discount for seniors. We are going to try to find someone less expensive. He picked up 7 more bags yesterday to shred. He is going to buy a larger shredder and I will pay for half the cost and he can do it at his house. Sounds like a deal. And also they have free shredding days in Colorado this year so I hope we can take advantage of that but they limit how much you can bring to shred!! It’s my plan!!”
In Doctor’s Waiting Room: “I’m a that stage of life where I’m not quite sure what kind of insurance to take out—major medical or minor miracle.” Remember in your thoughts and prayers those who have lost loved ones to death and have had their lives changed, have health problems some of which are terminal, are trying to make ends meet even though they have a job, and be with those who are still trying to shorten the distance between family/friends by building a bridge instead of a wall. Count your blessings. I will leave you with this saying from Audrey Tautou, “After each experience, you grow up, you get enriched with something, and you don’t know how you’re going to be in six months, you don’t know what you’re going to want, what you’re going to need.”
