Julia B. Mundell (Julie) beloved wife and mother found peace in the arms of our Holy Father on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Born on May 12, 1951, she was one of 13 children raised in Marcus, Iowa. After graduating high school, she made her way to Corpus Christi in search of adventure. She found so much joy in being at the beach, thrift-shopping, and listening to Neil Diamond on repeat.
Julie and Darrel, her husband of 35 years, raised two beautiful children. Her most prized role was becoming Granny to her cherished granddaughter, Sydney. She spent much of her time as a granny reading, playing board games, and cooking. 
She dedicated more than 35 years to her role as leading lady at the Good Shepherd Corner Resale Shop. She loved the volunteers, team, and customers. She was faithful to the mission of the Corner and was an institution in and of herself. 
Heaven has become much brighter with the arrival of Julie and her beautiful, spunky spirit. She joins her parents John and Geraldine Boever, two sisters and six brothers. 
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Darrel; children Taylor Mundell and Emily DeLoach; granddaughter Sydney, sisters: Kathleen “Kitty” Galles, Sherry Willis, Dianne (Jim) Beck, and Mary (Art) Ewoldt, and many nieces and nephews. 
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Church of the Good Shepherd located at 700 S Upper Broadway St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Good Shepherd’s Corner Resale Shop.
