Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. is accepting applications for two $500 Richard Hatz Scholarships. Recipients of the scholarships are chosen based on their prior service to their community and their plans to further that service through educational advancement. Applications must be received by 4:30 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 and sent to the Mid-Sioux Administrative Office at: 418 S Marion Street, Remsen, IA 51050. All residents of Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, Cherokee and Ida counties are eligible to apply if they will be enrolled in an institution of higher learning during the calendar year awards are granted and will be obtaining a degree in: Business, Health, Nutrition, Early Education, and Energy Conservation fields. Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. employees are eligible to apply as well as their children and grandchildren.
The Richard Hatz Scholarship was developed in honor of Dick’s dedication to Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. The scholarship is funded through donations and contributions from staff and board members of Mid-Sioux.
