MMCRU FFA Harvested

On Friday October 14th the MMCRU FFA harvested their 5 acre test plot. This year they planted two different Pioneer hybrids. The agronomy class and test plot committee went out and harvested the plot that’s just 3 miles south of Marcus with the help of James Mayer. This is year five for having half the field no-till and the other half tiled continuously. This harvest produced 25 bushels more in the tilled portion of the field on average. The grain was marketed to the Little Sioux Corn Processing Ethanol Plant in Marcus. We want to thank James for all of his time, machinery, patience, and help he continues to provide each year.
