Senior Spotlight

This week for the senior spotlight we will be featuring Asya Miller. Asya lives north of Marcus with her dad, Kyle, her mom, Amber and her two younger brothers Brayden and Braxton. Asya plans on attending Augustana University to major in exercise science.
Throughout high school Aysa has been very involved in many activities including: dance, competition cheer, football cheer, Royals Impact, speech, and NHS. Asya lettered every year in cheer, placed ninth for state dance her junior year and won first in class 2 individual solo competition, which earned a state title. Asya was also a cheer and dance captain. Some of Asya’s favorite memories in high school are earning The Dundee in Mr. Wimmer’s class and winning first in her solo. Outside of school Asya is in competition dance at the Central Dance Academy, and enjoys hanging out with her friends when she is not traveling for dance. Some advice Asya would give to the underclassmen is to not be afraid to get involved, the seniors may seem intimidating at first but you won’t regret it. Asya’s favorite school lunch is walking taco’s. Winning a state title is Asya’s greatest accomplishment. Her pet peeve is when people chew loudly or with their mouth open, some of her fears are nuns and kangaroos. Asya’s favorite musician is Bruno Mars and her favorite movie is Hairspray. Asya’s favorite year of high school would be her sophomore year because it got cut short and they got a longer summer. Something Asya would like to accomplish is being successful after college. Asya would like to be remembered as someone who was a positive role model and someone the underclassmen could look up to and not be afraid of.
